June 26, 2008 - San Francisco, CA
We enjoyed our bus trip from Roseville because everyone was so excited about the cruise.  After boarding and unpacking we toured the ship to get familiar and waited for our departure.  Before we departed, we did the Coast Guard mandatory Life Jacket drill with Steve and Scott, and of course along with every one else. We then proceeded out under the Golden Gate Bridge and headed north.

June 27, 2008 - At sea heading north past Cape Mendocino
Steve and Scott's first formal night after a long day of trying to find enough to do, other than eat and sleep.

June 28, 2008 - At sea up the coast of Vancouver Island
Steve and Scott enjoying their iced tea at lunch. Another day of eat and sleep.

June 29, 2008 - Arrived Ketchikan for tours
Steve and Scott took off on a Kayaking expedition while Charlene and I walked around town looking at some of the local cultural art work and Totem Poles.

June 30, 2008 - Arrived Juneau for tours
Steve and Scott went on a helicopter ride up to the glaciers, then did some "mushing" with dogs and sleds.  During one of our walks we saw a cat sitting in a make-shift flower planter as though it was in it's own bed. During our stay we saw several eagles.

July 1, 2008 - Arrived Haines
We all took a walk through town then Scott and Bob hiked part of the way up Mount Roberts only to discover we didn't have enough time to complete our hike before the ship had to get underway.

July 2, 2008 - Cruised Tracy Arm
While cruising Tracy Arm we saw some lovely scenery and some of the area looked very similar to Yosemite Valley with many of its rocky cliffs and waterfalls. We saw a variety of birds and a couple of seals on some of the ice bergs as well as swimming along near the ship.  With thanks to Luigi, we were all treated to a bridge tour and thoroughly enjoyed watching how the ship's captain and crew maneuvered the ship in the tight quarters of the narrow passage.  We also watched the Star Princess do a u-turn as well, as we followed her out into open waters.

July 3, 2008 - At sea
We sat around and relaxed watching porpoises and whales spout as we headed for Victoria.

July 4, 2008 - Arrived Victoria
We toured the Royal British Columbia Museum for several hours then off to lunch at the Quay. The walk back to the ship was very pleasant only to wait in line while we all got back aboard. We watched while Luigi created a champagne fountain and enjoyed the formal evening.

July 5, 2008 - At sea
Enjoyed the cruise back to San Francisco with calm seas and coastal fog.  A few porpoises and whale spouts were observed during lunch and dinner.

July 6, 2008 - Arrived San Francisco
Disembarkation was a breeze, probably the easiest we have ever done.  Waiting for us was our bus to Roseville and we all climbed aboard and talked about how much fun we had on this cruise.

Again, we would like to thank Zoe McCrea and Zoe's Cruises and Tours for a fabulous time.  Below are very few of the extensive pictures we took on this cruise.  To view larger versions of these pictures, just double click on them.
